Some thirty elders and representatives from the Paihe Settlement in Pingtung County visited ISU on March 20, 2018, to show their recognition to ISU for their collaborative regional development with a special blessing ceremony and a traditional melody. President Chen, first-level administrative heads, and faculty members participating in the development welcomed their visit and looked forward to further collaboration.

ISU held an achievement exhibition to present the outcomes of regional development, and the elders from the Paihe Settlement and indigenous students attended the event with their traditional costume.
