Culinary Journey into Difference Cultures Throwbacks!
The Global Lounge event, organized by I-Shou University, gathered the spirit of cultural appreciation, and fostered connections with a perfect blend of cuisine and cultures. We embarked on a delectable journey around the world without leaving the premises of I-Shou University!
This month, we are thrilled to bring you an exclusive highlight from the Global Lounge event: Unlock the Flavors of the World.
The event began with an insightful presentation highlighting the rich cuisine from our international students, such as Thailand, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan and Guatemala. Attendees were taken on a virtual journey through the diverse flavors and regional specialties of those countries.
Following the presentation, participants had the opportunity to indulge in a delightful tasting session. Authentic Indonesian dishes were prepared by culinary department’s students, providing a true experience of the flavors that make Indonesian cuisine so exceptional.
Beyond the food, the Global Lounge event encouraged interaction and cultural exchange. Attendees from different countries engaged in conversations discussing their food experiences. This event is a testament to the inclusive and diverse atmosphere of I-Shou University, fostering connections and bridging cultural gaps through the universal language of food.
The October Global Lounge event was a resounding success, showcasing the richness and diversity of culture and cuisine. The Global Lounge continues to be a platform for embracing cultural exchange and celebrating the beauty of diversity right here at I-Shou University. Stay tuned for our next November Global Lounge

ISU Partners with Gunma University for International Collaboration and Exchange
The Department of Electrical Engineering under the College of Intelligent Science and Technology at ISU continued to shine at the Green Idea Invention and Design Fair 2023. With the integration of expertise in smart technology and medical resources, faculty and students have created several outstanding inventions and designs. Their achievements include two silver awards, two bronze awards, and a special award recognized by the judging panel. This success placed them ahead of competitors from universities across the nation.

Empowerment workshops in Indonesia
As the pandemic restrictions have been lifted and national borders are reopening, there is a renewed wave of enthusiasm for traveling abroad this summer. Students from the ten colleges of ISU have already begun traveling to countries like Japan, China, Bulgaria, Malaysia, and more for internships and cultural exchanges. Furthermore, ISU has secured funding through the “University Alliance for Deepening Digital Learning Promotion and Innovative Application Project” and has established the “Medical, Agricultural, and Technical Alliance.” Together with the partner school, National Cheng Kung University, they ventured to Indonesia.

The Department of Electrical Engineering under the College of Intelligent Science and Technology at ISU continued to shine at the Green Idea Invention and Design Fair 2023. ISU Alumnus Emerges as Highly Promising Director
Touted as Taiwan’s first film to combine rally racing, family bonds, and inspiration, “See You At The Rally” is currently showing nationwide and continues to receive positive reviews. The film was also selected as the closing film at the Malaysia International Film Festival, marking an unprecedented achievement in Taiwan’s film industry. Starring the acclaimed actor James Wen and Malaysian actor Jack Tan, “See You At The Rally” has gained recognition. Director Shu-Wei Chang, known for his profound skills and expertise, has emerged as a highly promising director in Taiwan’s recent film scene.
