Bui Anh Cuong: A Rising Star In International Business
Daniel But also know as Bui Anh Cuong is a distinguished Vietnamese alumnus from the Department of International Business.He is pursuing a master’s degree in International Business Management at National Taipei University of Technology, focusing on customer acquisition for startups. During his undergraduate studies, he gained experience as a research assistant, marketing assistant, and business development specialist. Passionate about public speaking, Bui self-studied to enhance his skills, becoming a speaker at his university’s TEDx event in 2021. He later led the Toastmasters international public speaking organization, guiding his team to the top 8 in the 2024 Hult Prize Thailand Regional Final, recognized as the world’s largest student entrepreneurship competition.
Choo Min-Rui: A Passionate Academic Journey
Choo Min-Rui is an Assistant Professor in Finance at an esteemed university and Deputy Executive Director of the Office of Sustainable Development. Originating from Malaysia, she began her academic journey in Taiwan at I-Shou University, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Finance. She completed her Ph.D. in Finance in 2021. Her research focuses on sustainable finance, robo-advisors, and socially responsible investing. Living in Taiwan for over a decade, she feels “half Taiwanese.” Min-Rui has published multiple papers in respected international journals and led government-funded research projects. She is committed to teaching and mentoring in ESG, personal finance, and corporate governance.
Norin Firyaal: A Culinary Talentt
Norin also know as Chen Rui-Huang, an exceptional alumnus from the Department of Culinary Arts and an international student hailing from Indonesia, showcased remarkable skills during her internship at Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel in Tainan during her junior year. Following her graduation, she secured employment right away, and this year, she achieved first place in the Room-Temperature Cake category at Taiwan’s Cake Art Competition. While pursuing her studies, Chen Rui-Huang joined Department Chair Li Chien-Sheng to compete in the prestigious IKA Culinary Olympics in Germany, where their team was awarded a bronze medal in the Chocolate Art category. Additionally, she took part in the I-Shou University Cultural Ambassador contest, earning second place in the English Public Speaking category.
